Philip I. Patton, 67, of Brownstown, IN died unexpectedly on Thursday (7/21/16) at his residence.
He had been employed by Cummins Engine as a mechanical journeyman for 37 years.
He enjoyed restoring cars, racing and motorcycle racing. In addition, we was a story teller to everyone including his grandchildren. He was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church.
Born November 7, 1948 in Orange County, he was a son of James N. Patton (deceased) and Elzora Mae (Piatt) Patton who survives in Brownstown. On August 6, 1966 he married Marilyn Ballenger who survives.

grandchildren: Shana Jackson & Nate Jackson, Michaela Patton, Madison McGinnis, Brian (Katie) Vetter, Brandon (Brittney) Vetter and Andrew McGinnis
great grandchildren: Keegan Fish, Kami Vetter, Kaylee Jackson and Payton Jackson
Preceded in death: his father and 1 nephew (Matthew Allen Patton)
Visitation: Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Brownstown Christian Church from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Funeral service: Monday, July 25, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Church with Gary Morning officiating
